Taking some time |

| Author: Scratch | Categories: Blog Information |
I’ve been really really quite busy lately, as you can see with my little number of posts lately.
I guess I am owing about 5 or 6 postcards, which will be sent this week or next one… (2 to Portugal, 3 in Tags, one more?)
I hope you’ll understand it

Keeping it cool |

Well well, nothing new down here today…
Woke up, looked at my mailbox, no cards. Went to the post office and finished sending all the cards I had to.
And then I just did what I had to do… went to the university, went downtown to take a walk, and chatted with some friends…
I should have some new French map cards coming this week…
Somme, Manche, Lozère and Côtes d’Armor should arrive soon… and I also found someone who has Gironde and Loir-et-Cher… This could make me go close to a 50% of completion of the collection…
I am also thinking in participating a bit more in map tags on the forum, to send & receive many map cards and increase my collection.
I wish you all a good weekend ![]()

Uploading a bit more… |

And here is the second part of the cards I received during the last week… Not doing much more than a short description of each card, here they are:
Le Stade de France, which hosted the 1998 FIFA World Cup Final, in 1998, located in St-Denis, France.
Some new map cards, starting from the Swedish southern region of Skane, then going with a very nice Oklahoma state map card, a really really impressive map of the French Pays Basque, and the French Department of Orne and the Spanish Province of Leon…
And to conclude, my first card from this pretty little country which is Macedonia.
Thank you very much Ana for the swap! ![]()
Really never thought receiving a card from there!

First of the month |

I’ve been really really busy lately, a lot of different problems to resolve and not much time to take care neither of this blog, nor of my postcard collection.
I’ll do this one as quick as I can.
I’ve received 12 postcards in the last week, I’ll start showing just the Ballparks and the Countries Maps I got…
2 of the 3 Countries Maps I got are new, Sweden and Russia, both great ice hockey nations… and the third one is a really really nice cartoon map of Spain.
And for the Ballparks, two new places to add to the collection… the home of the Texas Rangers… and the home of the Cincinnati Reds, making me close to finish National League teams!
Surely more pictures when I’ll have more time!

One Map, Two Maps, Three… |

… Maps!
Three maps on the mail today!
All coming from private swaps, we have here a map from Malaysia, a beautiful one show the entire Great Britain, and one from the dutch province of Limburg.
This addition makes a little boost up into my maps collections, waiting for some more new swaps to come, even if times are a bit tougher than usual right now.
Let’s wait for some more, and check out if there is any opportunity to take in the forum…

Taking a breath |

| Author: Scratch | Categories: Blog Information |
So here is another day without any new card on my mailbox. Even if I don’t really enjoy it, it is not that anormal. With much less time than before to make swaps and to get new cards, I have just a few swaps going on at the moment, and still have to send some cards tomorrow morning.
I’m looking for some new map cards to my collection but those aren’t that easy to find right now, specially the ones from France! I have yet to receive cards from the Orne, Manche and Somme departments, but they are still on their way…
Let’s hope things will get better soon!

Coming back after the weekend |

| Author: Scratch | Categories: Blog Information |
I haven’t got any postcard on saturday, so I’ll start with the ones I got on sunday, not in my mailbox, but the ones I bought in a little fair not far from here.
I was very surprised by some of the postcards I found there! One from Briançon, part of the Fortifications of Vauban which has entered the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2008. Another one from Morocco, and two new french map cards showing the Mediterranean coast in Carnon, not far from here.
Then today, Monday, I just got 9 map cards in my mailbox. That’s what I call a good (very good!) monday!
6 Maps from Estonia, two from the United States, and a beatiful one from China, showing the Beijing’s 2008 torch relay road.
With these additions, I have now maps from 11 of the 15 Estonian maakonds, missing Raplamaa, Jogevamaa, Hiiumaa and Jarvamaa. If you have those, or know someone who have them, please leave a comment on this post or contact me in the Forum, I’m looking for those cards!
And to finish… a little postcard from the biggest city of my home Country, São Paulo in Brazil…
Have all a good week! ![]()

Two little cards on my mailbox this morning…
One from Avignon, which came from a Private Swap on the official PostCrossing site, and a map from the Italian Province of Liguria, this time coming from a Private Swap on the forums…
Nothing really new except this… I won’t be here tomorrow but I’ll be back Sunday afternoon, then I’ll see what to choose between working on the blog or reading a book…
Have all a good weekend!

Split By Languages |
( ) |
| Author: Scratch | Categories: Blog Information |
Since I have really a lot of things to add to the blog tonight, let’s split into smaller parts… and let’s separate them by languages.
So if we start with the cards that were on my mailbox this morning, it is English! 3 map cards: Norfolk and Suffolk in Great Britain, and New York State in the US…
… still in the English section, but now cards that I have for a moment and were still not uploaded, the two following cards from Malta…
We switch now to the second most representative language today: Spanish. One card from Ibiza, two from Barcelona and its beautiful Gaudi buildings, and one from Iguazu Falls in Argentina.
And to conclude… One card from Mont Saint Michel, which is entirely French, and one from the Novodevichy Convent in Russia… where people speak… Russian, of course!
Hopefully some more cards will arrive on the mail tomorrow…
and maybe also some more unuploaded cards to appear right here.
The blog is there… so check it regularly to read some of my news ![]()

Getting some rest |
( ) |
| Author: Scratch | Categories: Blog Information |
So, nothing new out there tonight…
Nothing in the mail this morning…
Nothing really new in my U2U box…
and I haven’t taken any new picture to upload to the blog…
Which means that I’ll spend my evening time doing some other things than postcrossing, surely working on my new classes that have started this week.
I’ve sent some messages asking for Private swaps on the PostCrossing Forum, most of them asking for trading new French and Spanish maps missing in my collections, but I haven’t received any answer yet.
While they don’t come… a good surprise!
One of my favourite card sellers has put one of my “Out Of Stock” cards back on sale! Feel free to request it if you enjoy it
It is a beautiful Provence map card…
Have all a good evening!
